Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Mohd Faizal PP’s disqualification from Lok Sabha membership was on Wednesday lifted and he attended the proceedings of the House. Faizal’s membership has been restored after nearly 10 weeks and the decision came ahead of the hearing of his petition in the Supreme Court on the matter. Lok Sabha Secretary General Utpal Singh issued a notification in this regard. In this, reference was made to the suspension of the Kerala High Court’s judgment of conviction and sentence of 10 years’ imprisonment in a criminal case.
