Mayor of Neza leads the first LGBT pride march: ‘we are making history’

The Morenista mayor of Nezahualcóyotl, Adolfo Cerqueda Rebollo, led this Saturday, June 11, the first LGBT+ pride march in the municipality.

Fence Rebollowho has publicly disclosed his sexual preference for men, highlighted that the streets of Nezahualcóyotl were painted in colors as a sign of “respect and inclusion.”

“It was a pleasure to walk as a citizen and thanks to those who organized this great event,” he wrote on his social networks.

During the march, the mayor demanded the approval of same-sex marriagein addition to respect and equality for the entire LGBT+ community.

to this event more than 3 thousand people attendedwho gathered at the Glorieta del Coyote, at about 12:00, and then marched down López Mateos Avenue.

Along the way, the contingent walked chanting songs and carrying colored flags, even demanding to stop the violence against this community after asking the authorities for more security and ending hate killings.
