Marc Anthony made the audience dance in his first concert in Puerto Rico in almost three years

Even though the singer Mark Anthony offered tonight one of the shortest concerts he has given in the Jose Miguel Agrelot Coliseum of Puerto Rico, the artist pleased his loyal fans with a repertoire of 13 songs.

Marc Anthony has spent more than three decades giving life to an incomparable musical formula that the salsa singer himself recognizes that he would not have to extend it on stage to provoke euphoria among his fans. With his mere appearance on stage, he manages to ignite the audience that sang all his songs from beginning to end with him.

The artist, who had not performed on the island since 2019, arrived at the venue in Hato Rey with his “Viviendo” concert tour, a show that will continue in 2023 in several cities in the United States.

Marc Anthony began his musical evening at 9:42 pm with the song “Pa’ llá voy”, the name of his most recent studio album. He then sang “Valió la pena” and then sang “Y había alguien”, a success with which he bet the audience for the interpretation of it.

The expressions of “Puerto Rico” and “Puñ*^@” seasoned the euphoria and dynamism that the artist born in New York to Puerto Rican parents projects on stage. The energy of Marc Anthony’s voice in “Until I Met You” did not diminish during the show.

“Good evening and thank you for giving me the opportunity. There is nothing like finishing this tour in my Puerto Rico (2022 concerts). I am with my children and with the whole family celebrating, ”said the singer as part of his greeting to the audience in which he called for shouts to demonstrate the power of“ my people, my Boricuas ”.

In the first row of the public was his fiancée Nadia Ferreira and two of his children, Cristian and Ryan, from the marriage he had with the former Miss Universe, the Puerto Rican dayanara torres.

In the performances “Flor pálida” and “Contra la corriente” the 54-year-old artist demonstrated his vocal power by reaching some of his customary sustains. It should be noted that the great orchestra that accompanies the artist deserves a separate mention as it is also the protagonist in the concert.

The salsa recital included the hits “Mala”, “Parecen viernes”, “I know you well” and “Your love does me good”.

The most anticipated classic of the night “Preciosa” was the penultimate performance before giving way to the hit “Vivir la vida” with which he closed his concert. A visibly moved Marc Anthony sang the iconic composition by Rafael Hernández.

Tomorrow, Sunday, the singer returns to the Coliseo de Puerto Rico for his second salsa night.
