Manchester United confirm Pogba’s departure

The Man Utd confirmed this Wednesday the departure of Paul Pogba of the team, when his contract ends on June 30.

The French player, who came to United at the age of 16 from the youth academy of Le Havrethus ending his second spell at the English club, after passing through Juventus in Turin, where he became one of the best midfielders in the world.

Pogba He was at the Italian club from 2012 to 2016, before returning to United, a club with which he has played a total of 233 games, scoring 39 goals and providing 51 assists. In his career as ‘Red Devil’Pogba has lifted a Europa League and two League Cups, to which must be added the World Cup that he won in 2018 with France.

This last season has been marred by physical problems and the 29-year-old has barely been able to play 27 games.

Pogba will be able to negotiate as a free agent with any club for his incorporation from July 1. PSG seemed like his destiny, but the arrival of Luis Campos to the Parisian team has slowed down the signing of the French midfielder, and everything indicates that he will return to Juventus.

“Everyone at Manchester United would like to congratulate Paul on his successful career and thank him for his contribution to Manchester United. We wish him well for the future,” the Old Trafford club said in a statement.

Pogba’s departure is the first step in the reconstruction of United, which already has Erik Ten Hag in the center of operations, the coach with whom the English club intends to return to the era of success of Alex Ferguson, the last coach in being able to win the League with the ‘Red Devils’ in 2013. United have gone five years without a title and the sixth place achieved this season is the poorest since the team competes in the Premier League.
