Madhya Pradesh: Shamgarh Chief Municipal Officer Nasir Khan suspended for obscene dance program in cattle fair

The Madhya Pradesh government has suspended the Chief Municipal Officer for organizing an obscene dance program at an animal fair organized by a local body in Mandsaur district. An official gave this information on Tuesday. A video of an alleged dance program organized on Sunday evening during Maa Mahishasur Mardini Devi fair in Shamgarh town, about 70 km from Mandsaur district headquarters, has surfaced on social media. In this, a woman is seen dancing on the stage to the tune of obscene songs and in the background a banner of the state cabinet minister Hardeep Singh Dung and mother Mahishasur Mardini Devi is visible. After the video surfaced, Dung wrote a letter to State Urban Administration Minister Bhupendra Singh demanding action against Nasir Khan, Chief Municipal Officer of Shamgarh Municipality of Mandsaur district and said that religious sentiments of the people were hurt by this program. Is. After this, the District Magistrate of Mandsaur was asked to submit the report of the matter. Based on the report, Ujjain Divisional Commissioner Sandeep Yadav issued an order to suspend Khan, the official said. The suspension order said, “During the night orchestra held on Sunday, there was a photo of mother Mahishasur Mardini Devi and public representatives on the back of the stage during the orchestra. An obscene dance program was organized on the same platform. The Chief Municipal Officer, Nasir Khan, without knowing the outline of the program, allowed it to run freely, which shows the negligence of the officer towards his duties.
