Legendary Jamaican Band Black Uhuru Headlines Puerto Rico Reggae Festival

The legendary Jamaican reggae band Black Uhuru, the Chilean Gondwana and the Puerto Rican Millo Torres and El Tercer Planeta, and Boris Bilbraut and Los Arboles, will perform on Saturday at the first “Puerto Rico Reggae Fest” to be held in San Juan.

The presentation will take place in the Tito Puente Amphitheaterinformed this Tuesday in a press release Rafael Schettini, president of Doctor Red Entertainment, producer of the event.

“We hope that people who love reggae of all ages and walks of life come to ‘Anfi’ to sing and dance on a magical night,” Schettini said in the statement.

“Millo Torres and Boris are two highly respected and loved Puerto Rican artists on the island. On the other hand, Black Uhuru is one of the most recognized reggae bands in the world”, he added.

The opening of the concert will be in charge of the band International Dub Ambassadorswhile locals DJ Adam and DJ Predator will be the official “disc jockeys” of the show.

Black Uhuru, which celebrates its 50 years in music in Puerto Rico, will close the musical event.

“To create magic and mysticism within the culture of reggae, the public will have the opportunity to enjoy an extrasensory experience through an audiovisual show,” added the producer.

Meanwhile, the Puerto Rican artist and muralist Edgardo Larregui will install a sculpture designed with elements of nature.

The show will start at 5:00 pm
