Haryana Assembly Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta has given instructions to start the work of installing LED lights on the Phirnis of the villages of Panchkula Assembly on priority basis. Apart from this, he directed that the pending payments under MNREGA in the villages should be released within a week. Gyan Chand Gupta was presiding over the meeting organized with the Sarpanches of all 19 Gram Panchayats of Panchkula Assembly at HSVP Field Hostel located in Sector-6 on Tuesday. In the meeting, Gupta took detailed information from the Sarpanches about the problems being faced in the development works in the village and assured to get them resolved soon.

On the demand of Sarpanches to install LED lights on the village’s ‘Phirnis’, Gupta instructed the Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad on telephone that LED lights should be installed on the village ‘Phirnis’ on priority basis. After this, the work of installing lights inside the village should be started. The Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad informed that the work of installing LED lights on Phirnis has started in four villages and the work of installing LED lights will be started soon in the remaining 15 villages also. Gupta also directed to release the pending payment for the works done under MNREGA in the villages within a week. On the demand of making the cow lanes in the villages concrete, Gupta said that a request has been made to Chief Minister Manohar Lal to get the 25 km long cow lanes paved and the work will start soon. He said that they will not abide by the labor rates fixed under HSR.

Will also talk to higher officials regarding the increase in grants and funds to be received under PRI and HSFC in small villages.

Haryana Assembly Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta also asked each Sarpanch to give a list of two important works related to their respective villages. He said that after discussing with the Chief Minister, these works will be completed soon. Shri Gupta said that his endeavor is to ensure that there is no shortage of any kind of basic facilities in the villages. The villages are being developed on the lines of cities by the present state government.
