Kejriwal’s residence attacked, cameras, barriers broken

Activists of Bharatiya Janata Party’s youth wing BJYM attacked and damaged CCTV cameras and security barricades installed at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence during a protest here. Meanwhile, Delhi Police has registered an FIR against unknown people in connection with the vandalism of Kejriwal’s residence.

Activists led by Morcha President Tejashwi Surya staged a protest at Kejriwal’s residence here and demanded his apology for allegedly “making fun of” Kashmiri Pandits. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia claimed in a tweet that anti-social elements attacked and damaged CCTV cameras and security barricades at Kejriwal’s residence in Delhi. The ‘boom barrier’ has also been broken. BJYM national secretary Tejinder Pal Singh Bagga said that the leaders and workers of the organization demonstrated near Kejriwal’s house, but did not vandalize in any way. “We were stopped by the police and around 20-25 of our members and leaders including Tejashwi Surya were detained and taken to a police station. They were later released.
