Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday dedicated 13 new schools of eminence to the people of the state. On this occasion, in a program organized in Ludhiana, Kejriwal appealed to the people of Punjab and said that they should further strengthen the hands of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Ensure victory of his party in all 13 Lok Sabha constituencies of the state.
Kejriwal said, ‘He (Mann) has to fight alone against the Center and the Governor. Center has withheld Rs 8000 crore from Punjab. Once there are 13 Lok Sabha MPs, they will give power to Mann and no one will dare to stop state funds.
Chief Minister Mann said that after Delhi, now a big revolution is being seen in the field of education in Punjab and these schools are a reflection of that. The day is not far when Punjab will be the leading state of the country. Mann said that before the elections, when he used to promise free electricity, treatment and education, the opposition parties used to taunt him as to where the money would come from, but he has proved the opposition leaders wrong.
Kejriwal claimed that the Aam Aadmi Party is working as per the promises made to the people. He said a common man needs good schools for his children, proper medical care and similar basic facilities and the AAP government is providing that.
Referring to the School of Eminence, the Delhi Chief Minister claimed that such a school has no competition even in the private sector. He said that such schools and education would prove to be the greatest asset for the needy as it could lift an entire generation out of poverty. On this occasion, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Bains, MLA Bhola Grewal were also present.
