The Ministry of Defense of Japan sent a JASDF model plane with supplies and bulletproof vests to support Ukraine this Tuesday.
Through a statement, the Minister of Defense, Nobuo Kishi, pointed out that the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Ukraine in Japan, HE Dr. Korsunsky, thanked him for the support through a telephone call that took place on Wednesday.
Kishi took advantage of the communication to express its deepest condolences for the fallen Ukrainian soldiers in the military conflict with Russia, as well as his respect for the military forces that remain in the fight “to protect his country and his family.”
“Japan strongly opposes the Russian invasion of Ukrainewhich constitutes a serious violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, which shakes the foundations of the international order,” the statement said.
Russia threatened countries that provide weapons to Ukraine
Russian representatives warned that supporting the Ukrainian air force would be seen by Moscow as participation in the conflict and would open providers to potential retaliation.
The country’s declaration was released this Tuesday, the same day that Poland offered Air Force planes for Ukraine to continue its fight against Russia.
The Russian government has not commented. regarding supply support from Japanwhich claimed to have military defense material, such as bulletproof vests.
