A village headman was shot dead by terrorists on Wednesday near Srinagar city of Jammu and Kashmir. This is the second such incident in the last one week. Bhat is the second panchayat member killed by terrorists this week. This incident of murder has come to light a few hours after the IED (Improvised Explosive Device) attack by terrorists in Udhampur town of Jammu region. One person lost his life in this IED attack while 14 others were injured.

Earlier on Sunday, terrorists hurled a grenade in the busy market of Srinagar in which two people were killed and 38 others were injured. Police said that two people involved in the grenade attack have been arrested.
