At the same time, there is still a long way to go towards a formal agreement with Kyiv.

News agency a report from Reuters “This is not a ceasefire, but it is our aspiration to gradually reduce the conflict on these fronts,” Vladimir Medinsky, the head of the Russian team involved in the talks, said in an interview to the Tass news agency.

“However, we still have a long way to go to work out a mutually acceptable agreement,” he said.

According to the news agency AFP, in the talks between the two countries in Turkey on Tuesday, Ukraine has made several proposals to resolve the month-long conflict with Russia. This includes withdrawing from Ukraine’s longstanding desire to join NATO, guaranteeing international security in exchange for a neutral position, among other things.
