The embassy demands to investigate “anti-Semitic manifestations that took place during the march.”
Israel condemned the torchlight procession for Stepan Bandera’s birthday. Such marches were held in some Ukrainian cities on January 1, in particular in Kiev.

They also noted that they require an investigation in connection with the march.
“We demand an investigation of the anti-Semitic manifestations that took place during the march, in accordance with the law adopted in 2021,” the message said.
As UNIAN wrote, on January 1, a torchlight march was held in Kiev on the occasion of the 113th anniversary of the birth of the head of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists Stepan Bandera.
The United Jewish Community of Ukraine reported an act of anti-Semitism at a torchlight procession in Kiev. According to her, in particular, one of the participants participated with a poster of approximate content: “In Nuremberg, the trial of Nazism in Germany took place. And when will Nuremberg-2 take place over the ******* o-Moscow communism?”
