Indian women’s hockey team beat Argentina

Gurjit Kaur scored two goals as the Indian women’s hockey team put up a stellar performance to beat Olympic silver medalists Argentina in a shootout after scoring 3-3 in the first match of the FIH Pro League ‘Double Leg’ match here on Saturday. Reversed by defeating -1. Gurjeet (37th and 51st) scored from two penalty corners and Lalremsiami scored a field goal in the fourth minute. For Argentina, Augustina Gorgelani took the match to a shootout with hat-tricks in the 22nd, 37th and 45th minutes. Neha Goyal and Sonika scored for India in the shootout.

Men’s team lost: The Indian men’s hockey team lost to the Netherlands in the FIH Pro League. They lost 1-4 in the shootout after the match was drawn 2-2 in regular time.
