Toronto / New Delhi: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said he is working with the United States to stop human trafficking. The response comes after four Indians were found dead in the snow on the U.S.-Canada border on Thursday. Their deaths are thought to have been caused by frostbite as creditors tried to enter the U.S. illegally.
A man has been arrested in the U.S. on suspicion of being a human trafficker in the incident. Meanwhile, the Indian Consulate Generals in Toronto and Chicago sent missions to the region soon after the bodies of the Indians were found. The Indian High Commission in Ottawa is involved in the process, including the post-mortem of the deceased.
