India beat New Zealand in the second T20 to level the series

India leveled the three-match series 1-1 with the magic of spinners beating New Zealand by six wickets in the low-scoring second T20 International cricket match here on Sunday. Chasing New Zealand’s 100, India rode on match-best innings from Suryakumar Yadav (26 not out in 31 balls, one four) and captain Hardik Pandya (15 not out in 20 balls, one four) with his fifth-wicket haul of 31. With the unbroken partnership of runs, they won by scoring 101 runs for four wickets in 19.5 overs. Suryakumar was the only batsman to touch the 20-run mark in the match. Earlier, the spinners restricted New Zealand to a score of 99 for 8. Indian spinners Yuzvendra Chahal (1/4), Deepak Hooda (1/17), Washington Sundar (1/17) and Kuldeep Yadav (1/17) combined to take 4/55 in 13 overs. Took wickets. Fast bowlers Arshdeep Singh (2/7) and Shivam Mavi got only the last three overs. Despite skipper Mitchell Santner scoring the highest unbeaten 19, the team could not cross their lowest score against India.
