Incident caught on camera: Robbery at State Bank branch in Mumbai, death of an employee

The robber is seen wielding weapons in the CCTV footage.

A bank was robbed and an employee shot dead in Mumbai on Wednesday evening. The shocking incident was captured in surveillance footage, which is now being investigated. Officials said the man who was shot dead was an outsourced employee of the Dahisar branch of State Bank of India. He said that two robbers had targeted the bank. They fled after the robbery.

Video footage shows two masked robbers inside the bank. One of them possibly points a gun at the staff. As soon as the information was received, senior police officers Praveen Padwal and Vishal Thakur along with others reached the spot. More details about the incident are awaited.

In another incident that came to light from Delhi, a security guard in Chhatarpur was attacked today by a man who was stopped for not wearing a mask.

Earlier this year, another robbery in Mumbai made headlines when a jewelery shop in Mira Nagar area was robbed by four men in five minutes.

In a strange case of robbery in the year 2017, a group of robbers dug a 25 feet long tunnel for lockers in a branch of Bank of Baroda in Navi Mumbai.
