In the midst of the fight in the Government, governors of the ruling party and the opposition asked for more dialogue and consensus

At a time when the Government is in the midst of the conflict between President Alberto Fernández and Vice President Cristina Kirchner, some of the most notorious leaders of the ruling party and the opposition advocated inter-party dialogue. It happened this Tuesday night the dinner in which the Asociación Conciencia celebrated its 40 years of uninterrupted work, with the presence of civil servants and legislators of the front of all and the main references of Together for Change.

The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Sergio Massa, highlighted the presence at the event of people from different political spaces. “This is not an election year, so it’s an ideal year for let’s have 5 or 10 State policies that we can build together in Congress, with broad agreements, for all Argentines. My responsibility is to set the table and assume this commitment with everyone,” said Massa from the stage set up by Conciencia in La Rural. When he got off, he was warmly greeted by Horacio Rodriguez Larreta, with whom they hugged and exchanged affectionate words.

Massa also had an animated dialogue with the governor of Jujuy and president of radicalism, Gerardo Morales, who participated in a round of wishes expressed by various governors who were present on stage. Morales highlighted the work of Awareness for the eradication of child labor in tobacco companies in Jujuy and expressed hope that it can be “finish the disastrous crackso that there is a country with a future for current and future generations”.

Rodriguez Larreta called for building mechanisms so that “we can work together to move the federal country forward, create spaces for dialogue, bridges and unity among all.” He thanked Conciencia for his collaboration in the City’s educational projects. “That is our first priority,” said the head of the Buenos Aires Government.

At dinner there was also time to leave the political conversations for a few moments. “How is the match going? They told me that we are winning one to nil, with a goal by Julián Álvarez,” Rodríguez Larreta asked anxiously midway through the second half of the match between Argentina and Ecuador. At that time, Massa acknowledged being “quite a soccer fan”, but not so much as to miss the event for the 40 years of Conscience, which started at 7:30 p.m. and ended around 10 p.m., although many stayed an hour more. The last ones who stayed in the place found out about Ecuador’s tie, at the end of the tie.

Several governors who belong to different political spaces also expressed their wishes for the future on stage: Gustavo Bordetfrom Entre Rios; Gustavo Valdesfrom Corrientes; Oscar Herrera Ahuadof Missions; Omar Gutierrez, from Neuquen; in addition to Morales and Rodríguez Larreta. Then Massa joined and everyone took a photo together with the former presidents that Conciencia had throughout its 40 years and the current authorities of the Association, headed by its president, Beby Lacroze.

“In the celebration of our 40 years we reinforce our conviction to give voice and accompany the true protagonists: boys, girls, young people, entrepreneurs, families, teachers, managers, neighborhood leaders, volunteers, who are our reason for being. We want to continue walking together many more years transforming lives! To see a great and equitable Argentina that multiplies everyone’s dreams”, said Beby Lacroze, president of Conciencia.

Massa went with his wife Malena Galmarini, owner of Aysa. Daniel Arroyo and Victoria Tolosa Paz, the two national deputies of the Frente de Todos, were also present, among other Peronist leaders. In dialogue with Clarín, Tolosa Paz highlighted the economic policies of the national government and minimized the internal noise. “We are worried about inflation but we are experiencing economic growth, investment and employment,” she said, referring to the policies of the national government. He also highlighted the policies of the Buenos Aires Governor Axel Kicillof, such as “the bags of food that are given to the mothers of elementary school children.”

Also present were the president of the PRO, Patricia Bullrich; former Economy Minister Alfonso Prat Gay; Deputy Fernando Iglesias; the Minister of Government of the city of Buenos Aires, Jorge Macri and the mayor of Pinamar, Martín Yeza, among other political leaders. There was also a large business and third sector presence, which accompanied the directors and volunteers of Conciencia.
