Most areas of North Kashmir received fresh snowfall on Thursday. It rained in the rest of the valley. Due to this change of weather, a drop in temperature has been recorded. Snowfall started at Gulmarg ski resort in Baramulla district from Wednesday night, officials said. The Khelo India Winter Games are to begin here from Friday. Gurez sector of Bandipora district and rest parts of Baramulla, Kupwara started receiving snowfall on Thursday morning. Snowfall has been reported from Shopian district of South Kashmir. Rest parts of the valley received ‘light’ to ‘moderate’ rainfall, marking the return of cold with the end of three days of sunshine.
