In Odessa, patrolmen had to shoot at the wheels to stop a drunk driver who hit one of the inspectors. This was reported by the press service of the Patrol Police of the Odessa region.

“This morning, the police received a message that on Akademika Korolev Street, a man in a state of intoxication sits behind the wheel. The patrolmen stopped the specified car, but the driver locked himself in the car and did not respond to the demand of the patrolmen. And then he tried to leave the place and hit the police officer.” , - the message says.

The driver did not react to the request of the patrolmen to stop. Then the inspector fired several shots at the wheels of his vehicle. Only in this way the car stopped moving.

The driver refused to undergo an examination of the state of alcoholic intoxication at the place of stop and in a medical institution. A protocol was drawn up against him under Part 1 of Art. 130 (Driving a vehicle by a person in a state of intoxication) КУоАП.

All circumstances of the incident are established by the investigators.

Earlier, also in Odessa, a policeman shot at a prisoner while trying to escape. The man tried to escape from the remand prison, but was wounded in the leg by a guard. For attempting to escape, he faces up to five years in prison.

We add that a resident of Bukovina fired from a car at a bus stop. He was drunk.
