In his first action as president of the UCR, Gerardo Morales met with Mauricio Macri

Morales was chosen to head a unit list that also includes María Luisa Storani as first vice president and Martín Lousteau as second vice president.

The new leadership of the UCR

On Friday the governor of Jujuy, Gerardo Morales, was elected as the new president of the Radical Civic Union (UCR), in a list of unity that led to the Buenos Aires leader María Luisa Storani as first vice president and the Buenos Aires senator Martín Lousteau as second vice president .

The agreement included the intention to reunify the blocks of radical deputies, in a process that could take place between the months of February or March, as Morales anticipated in his closing speech at the plenary session of delegates of the National Committee.

The new head of radicalism pointed out that “it will not be anyone’s caboose”, referring to the role that in his opinion the party played during the presidential term of Mauricio Macri. And he assured that the objective is to strengthen Together for Change and have a radical president.
