Himachal Pradesh: Girls dominate in class 12th exam

Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education declared the 12th result on Saturday. Under the new education policy, the result declared on the basis of two terms was 93.91 percent. This time a total of 88013 candidates appeared in the examination in which 82342 students have been declared pass. 3379 candidates have got compartment. Board President Dr. Suresh Kumar Soni declared the result on Saturday. In the examination results, Kshitij Sharma, a student of New Gurukul Public School Gopal Nagar, Hamirpur, Shagun Rana of Ishan Public School, Har Samloti, Kangra and Akshita Sharma, a student of Senior Secondary School, Barathi, Bilaspur, scored 98.06 per cent in the Science category. Won first place. Vani Gautam, a student of SVPM Government Senior Secondary School, Ghumarwin, Bilaspur secured first position in the Arts stream with 99.8 percent marks. Apart from this, Tanisha Bharadwaj of Government Senior Secondary School, Una, Thathal secured first position in the commerce faculty with 98 percent marks. Once again girl students are dominating in merit. Out of the total 92 students in the merit list, 76 are girls while only 16 are boys. The good news this time is that government schools are also dominating the merit list. 46 students from government schools while 46 students from private schools also made it to the merit list.
