Haryana ready to host G-20 summit – dainiktribuneonline.com

Haryana is once again ready to host the G-20 summit. This time G-20 Sherpa meetings will be held in Nuh, Gurugram and Manesar. The preparations for the summit have been finalized. Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal held a high-level meeting in Chandigarh on Thursday to review the preparations. There will be Sherpa meetings in Haryana from September 3 to 7.

The programs are being coordinated by the Nuh and Gurugram district administrations under the guidance of the G-20 Secretariat. Sherpas and other representatives of the invited countries besides the member countries of the G-20 summit will participate. The Chief Secretary said, keeping in mind the tradition of Haryana’s Atithi Devo Bhava, the state would leave no stone unturned to welcome the foreign guests.

Kaushal stressed on the need to make the G-20 summit grand and that all the arrangements should be executed with precision on time so that the delegates attending the meeting get a good impression of Nuh, Gurugram, Haryana. He instructed all the officers involved in the program to be vigilant during the meeting and ensure all work is done on time. Officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the Public Works Department said that the work of improving the roads from the Delhi border to the venue has been completed.

Full care is being taken for cleanliness and beautification on this route. Arrangements for street lights etc. are also in the final stage. Chief Secretary Kaushal directed Nuh Deputy Commissioner Dhirendra Khargata to depute a senior officer to check these lights even at night. Additional Chief Secretary V Rajashekhar, Haryana Power Generation Corporation MD Mohammad Shine, G-20 Nodal Officer Dr Aditya Dahiya and many senior officials were present in the meeting. DGP Shatrujit Kapoor, Additional Director General of Police (CID) Alok Mittal, Gurugram Police Commissioner Vikas Arora and Nuh Superintendent of Police Narendra Bijarani joined the meeting online.

Gurugram, Nuh Deputy Commissioners gave report

Gurugram DC Nishant Kumar Yadav and Nuh DC Dhirendra Khadgata also gave report to the Chief Secretary regarding the preparations. He assured that no stone will be left unturned to make the fourth Sherpa meeting a success. Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Dr. Amit Aggarwal said that branding work is being done inside the venue and on the entire route for the fourth Sherpa meeting. Preparations are being made to present the rich cultural heritage of Haryana state before the guests. On September 5, cultural programs steeped in the rich tradition and culture of the state will be presented before the guests. A stall will also be set up at the venue, showcasing unique initiatives and schemes of the Haryana Government.
