10 people have died after a bus carrying a wedding procession overturned in Australia.

At least 10 people were killed and 11 others injured when a bus carrying wedding guests overturned in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales (NSW), Australia late on Sunday night. Was taken to the hospital. Emergency services were working overnight at the scene of the crash on Wine Country Drive near the Hunter Expressway off-ramp in Greta. Police said in a statement that initial inquiries suggested 10 people died in the incident, according to the Sydney Morning Herald. 11 people were taken to the hospital by helicopter and by road.

Apart from this, 18 passengers were saved safely. According to police, emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 11:30 pm (local time) following information about the bus overturning. A large-scale emergency operation was carried out, closing Wine Country Drive in both directions between the New England Highway and the Bridge Street roundabout in Huntly.
According to reports, the driver of the bus was taken to the hospital under police protection for mandatory tests and evaluation. Injured victims were taken by road and air to several hospitals in the Hunter Valley, including the John Hunter Hospital in New Lambton Heights and the Mater Hospital in Waratah. A crime scene has been created, which will be analyzed by the Specialist Forensic Police and Crash Investigation Unit on Monday.
The Sydney Morning Herald reported that Cessnock Mayor Jay Suval described the news of the bus accident as horrifying.
