Hamirpur, 30 January

So far, about 900 people have been affected by gastroenteritis in some panchayats of Nadaun sub-division. Vomiting diarrhea and fever patients continued to come to private clinics and other hospitals on Monday. There was a huge rush of patients in private clinics and hospitals. However, the health department teams have started checking people by visiting the villages. Health department teams are engaged in taking care of patients in 22 villages of the affected areas of Rangas and Kandrola. Whereas Chief Medical Officer Dr. R.K. Agnihotri informed that the condition of the patients has been reviewed by visiting 22 villages. At the same time, medicines and other materials are also being distributed in the affected villages. On the other hand, the disease spread in the rural villages is being blamed directly on the supply of dirty water being provided by the Jal Shakti Department. The department has closed the hole made by the pit of water in the circulation tank. From this kuhl, the water of the khad was directly pumped into the circulation tank, but now the department has closed a part of the kuhl, so that it is not known that the water brought directly from the khad is going inside the tank. And the water tank is being cleaned. All the water inside the tank has been removed. On Monday, a water sample was taken from the ravine, which was earlier to be sent to the Kandaghat lab, but has now been sent to NIT. Its report is likely to come by night.
