Grandvalira brings together dozens of skiers in the heart of Madrid

The Grandvalira ski resort has gathered dozens of skiers this morning in the center of Madrid. For those who have come to the Metropolis building in the capital, equipped with hats, snow boots, snowboards and skis, the resort has rewarded them with a two-day ski pass, with an open date so they can enjoy anytime the season.

Previously, Grandvalira has challenged the early riser to come to the same meeting point. Although the participants did not know it, the ski resort had prepared a great surprise prize. In this way, Javi and Emma, ​​who have been the first to arrive, at 6 in the morning, have won a prize that has led them today to take the plane from Madrid to the Andorra-La Seu airport to reach Grandvalira and being able to enjoy a weekend with travel, hotel nights and complete experiences in the ski resort.

The objective of this action is to bring Andorra and Grandvalira closer to Madrid skiers. As the general manager of Grandvalira Resorts, Juan Ramón Moreno, explains, “we want the people of Madrid to get to know Andorra, to come to Andorra, which is a unique destination”. “For us, Madrid is a very important market. People from Madrid in general have the mistaken perception that Andorra is further away than it really is,” adds Moreno, who with actions like today’s wants to encourage Madrid residents to visit Andorra and grandvalira.

The call was attended by the skier Lola Fernández-Ochoa, for whom this “fun” action serves to encourage skiers to “pack their bags, because Andorra is very close”.

Grandvalira is, with 210 kilometers of skiable slopes, the largest resort in the Pyrenees and in southern Europe, where skiing is the center, but where there are also countless experiences to live, both on and off the slopes.
