Goodbye queues? SAT extends service hours for taxpayers

The Tax Administration Service (SAT) announced that service hours for taxpayers will be extended provisionally.

Through a statement, the agency indicated that the taxpayer service offices throughout the country will be dedicated to serving legal entities on Fridays, from October 7 to December 30, 2022from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., by appointment.

Between the main procedures that taxpayers may carry out there is the registration to the RFC, as well as the electronic signature (e.firma).

In addition, the SAT will make the Mobile Office available to the public, to attend to taxpayers who live in remote areas.

“In the first moment institutions will be visited from Oaxaca, Quintana Roo, Sinaloa and Veracruz to serve individuals, mainly; in a second stage, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Cancún, Mérida, Tijuana, Ciudad Juárez and Mexico City for the attention, preferably, of moral persons”, indicated the dependency.

The Mexican Institute of Public Accountants celebrated the decision of the SAT, since they indicated that with this action the backlog of face-to-face appointmentswhich will support taxpayers to comply with their tax obligations.

“In the IMCP we consider this decision a success since, as we respectfully stated in different public forums through our 60 Schools, the sensitivity of authority it will favor alternatives so that taxpayers comply in a timely manner with their tax obligations”, indicated the institute.
