Developed in the lab for the first time in the world Blood (Lab-grown Blood) was offered to the people. UK In a clinical trial in the U.S., blood grown in the laboratory was transfused into people. British researchers gave this information. According to BBC report Most of the times, blood transfusion depends on those people who are always ready to donate blood. The ultimate goal of this research is to develop usable, rare blood-group blood that is often difficult to obtain.

.

This is necessary for people who depend on regular blood transfusions for conditions such as sickle cell anemia. If there is no exact match of the blood sample then the body starts rejecting it and the treatment fails. This level of tissue-matching differs from the well-known A, B, AB and O blood groups.

Professor Ashley Toye of the University of Bristol said some groups are ‘really, rare’ and ‘only 10 people in the country may be able to donate.’ According to the report, the ‘Bombay’ blood group identified in India for the first time has only three units at present. It has stock all over the UK.

Teams from Bristol, Cambridge, London and NHS Blood and Transplant are jointly carrying out this research project. It focuses on the red blood cells that carry oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body.
