Yamunanagar, 2 April

In Haryana, the government had announced to start procurement in the mandis from April 1. Preparations are going on in this regard. Roads are being built, facilities have been announced. But right now farmers are not getting facilities on the ground. Farmer Jagmal, who came from Sabilpur, Mustafabad, Yamunanagar, said that he has brought mustard crop, but it is not being purchased, where is it going that there is no registration, whereas he had got the registration done in his area, but there is no purchase there. There is no management. He said that the government should also make arrangements for procurement in the market in Mustafabad. He said that the government is harassing the farmers so that they leave farming and the land can be sold to big houses.

What does farmer Satpal Kaushik have to say that tall claims are made about providing facilities in the market whereas in reality there is no facility for farmers to even sit and rest. Farmers have to remain sitting in their tractor trolleys. Farmers are harassed in the name of registration, the farmer who brings wheat is not purchased.

A farmer is allowed to bring a certain quantity of wheat, if he brings more wheat then it becomes difficult to take it back.

Officer Rajesh, who reached the market for purchase, said that preparations for purchase in the market have been completed, but the arrival has not started yet, it is expected that the arrival will start in 3 to 5 days.
