Espinosa de los Monteros denounces the disorganization and lack of security in the Paris final

Ivan Espinosa de los Monteros He is a well-known fan real Madrid. The spokesman for the Vox Parliamentary Group in the Congress of Deputies was last Saturday at the Stade de France in Paris, watching how the white team won the fourteenth European Cup in its history after defeating Liverpool (0-1).

A final that was marked by the organizational chaos and serious security problems outside the stadium, forcing UEFA to delay the start of the match for more than half an hour, specifically at 9:37 p.m.

Espinosa de los Monteros has been interviewed this Monday night by Juanma Rodríguez in The First Stickthe evening sports program of esRadio, where the political leader has denounced two very serious problems, lack of organization and citizen insecurity. “I had never seen anything like what I saw in Saint-Denis on Saturday. I have been to many sporting events, in Champions League finals, in the Olympic Games, I go to the Bernabéu regularly, and I have never seen such disorganization,” he denounces.

“UEFA says that it was because of fans who had arrived late, it is not true. The fan zones closed at six in the afternoon, there was no problem with fans arriving late, but with access to the stadium,” explains the parliamentary spokesman for Vox, denouncing that the thieves made a killing stealing “tickets, cell phones, all kinds of belongings…there were no police there, the only thing there was was chaos”.

Espinosa de los Monteros assures that these situations do not occur in Spain, because we have “one of the best police officers in the world”, adding that “in Saint-Denis there was everything, even abuse: people crying, horrified children, people having a really bad timeburned cars… but it could have been much more serious because those ‘local residents’ sneaked in without entry with total impunity.”

“Can you imagine what would have happened if there was a stampede in those lathes? It seems that we have not learned anything in these years,” laments Iván Espinosa de los Monteros, recalling that the Stade de France is “Olympic venue”. “How are the Games going to be held in a neighborhood like this? How can it host a Champions League final? How does UEFA allow such a thing?” he lamented.

Likewise, the political leader also denounces the inaction of the gendarmes in a situation like this. “The Police did nothing in Saint-Denis, they looked like Robocop, because they had instructions not to do anything while in front of them there were authentic hordes assaulting people. This cannot be allowed in 21st-century Europe,” said Espinosa de los Monteros .
