“End of Imran Khan’s political career”: Ex-wife Reham Khan tells NDTV

Ex-wife Reham Khan talks to NDTV on Imran Khan’s case

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has refused to resign. He has said that I will play till the last ball. Now its decision will be taken on 3 April. Imran Khan says that ‘I will play till the last ball, the corrupt will come or we will see’. Imran Khan’s ex-wife Reham Khan has a special conversation with NDTV on this whole issue. Responding to the address to the nation, Reham Khan said that then the same story, as he was already thinking, he said the same. It looked like a complete farewell speech, what seemed to be the same. I think we understand his game because this is his last chance to stop the TV screen, which he has been doing for many years. How the media houses kept on covering them till 2018-22. He made sure that none of us gets any coverage. In fact he could not stand my journalism career or even guest appearance on any show, whoever dared to take me as a guest had to face dire consequences.

.

Reham further said that he wants to become a political martyr. They want to show this whole matter as an American conspiracy. Many illusions are hidden behind his face. He did not choose to resign in a dignified manner even though the numbers are against him. It is not in his personality. This word is not in his dictionary, although it is the end of Imran Khan’s political career. On the question of joining politics, she said that I have no reason to join politics. I have everything that could have been.

Prime Minister Imran Khan addressed the nation on Thursday night before voting on a no-confidence motion against the Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led government in Pakistan. Earlier, he indicated that he would not resign despite losing his majority in the National Assembly. He also insisted that he would face the “voting on the no-confidence motion” to be held on Sunday. In a live telecast address to the nation, Khan (69) said that whatever the outcome of the vote on the no-confidence motion, he will come back stronger.

Imran Khan also discussed “a letter threatening” which he allegedly described as “evidence” of a foreign conspiracy to topple his coalition government. He took the name of America behind this threat, which probably happened due to slip of tongue. “Our policy was not anti-US, Europe, or even anti-India,” he said. It became anti-India after New Delhi broke international law in August 2019 and revoked Kashmir’s special status. The most disturbing thing is that our people sitting here are in contact with foreign powers. He cited Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Shahbaz Sharif, Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rehman of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam in this regard.

He had further said that neither I am going to bow down in front of anyone nor will I allow my community to do so. Why should we crawl like ants? Will not let its people bow down before anyone. Pakistan’s goal was big. When I entered politics 25 years ago, there were three things in my manifesto, 1. Justice, 2. Humanity, 3. Pride.
