Although in his new song “Stay with me”, inspired by his relationship with the announcer Jorge Pabón “Molusco”, the urban singer Elysanij expresses that they stopped being friends to establish a relationship, in his case he revealed that the bond of friendship did not occur, but that once they made things happen, both began to see each other with different eyes. The attraction came naturally.
The artist cannot specify exactly when in the last months of 2023 she began to look at Molusco with the eyes of the heart and not from the work perspective as was the relationship between the two. In fact, it was in January of this year that the announcer was romantically linked to the urban singer, but the meeting where they made passes and ironed out rough spots took place in August 2023 when Pabón interviewed her for his channel Mollusk TV. At that time they revealed that neither of them spoke to each other and that Elysanij was upset by expressions that Pabón made in the past.
In mid-April, Molusco claimed to be in love with the urban artist and she confirmed his love by integrating it into the new video for his single “Stay with me”, which co-stars the producer and which has been talked about so much in recent weeks. The video was released on April 25.
The crush came
“We settled after not speaking for a while. We arranged it but not to be friends and it wasn’t the plan to be friends either. We were not friends. I can’t pinpoint when it (the attraction) happened, but God’s timing is perfect and God’s plans are perfect and one cannot stop them. It happened as it had to happen. It wasn’t that there was a friendship, it happened well ‘random’ and he could tell you the same. This was not planned. This came up and that’s it. I feel very happy next to her,” the singer revealed that although she stands out as one of the female exponents in the urban genre, Her musical versatility defines her as she sings ballads, pop, salsa, reggaeton and merengue.
In the video for “Stay with me”, the urban artist performs the song alone in front of a group of people who recreate a meeting with the media and in the middle of the scene Pabón appears who accompanies her to talk with the press. Immediately afterwards, Molusco hugs her and they walk together until they say goodbye to her.
The interpreter told El Nuevo Día that the integration of Molusco into the video was a decision of both of them, after explaining that she did not want to hide the love and feelings she professes for the father of the teenagers Ocean and Paula Pabón.
“This was something discussed between the two. Days before recording the video I told him ‘this is something I want to do. I want to feel super free.’ This is not something I want to hide and it is not something I want to explain too much about. This is my personal, private life and I will say it doing what I love, which is singing. That was the way to confirm my relationship and my love,” she explained, while acknowledging that she is used to the hesitations, criticisms and memes that have emerged with the video visuals.
Regarding how the single “Stay with me” came about, he admitted that “I was exhausted and I had no ideas left,” after spending several weeks working on the songs for his new EP, titled “HE AND”, which contains six unreleased songs. The musical single was recorded as a ballad and the lyrics express uninhibited feelings towards a person in whom the importance of staying together is valued.
“Stay with me” is a composition by the performer together with Andrés Gavillan (Dirrty) and César Augusto Santiago (Fuxbeat). The video was directed by JC Rosary.
The artist who has sung with Ana Isabelle, Álvaro Torres, Manny Manuel and La India, among others, mentioned that the record production “ELY” contains the songs “Química divina”, “Aguantar”, “Mariposas”, “Volar” and “Damage”.
“At this moment, love and heartbreak inspire me to continue creating. They pigeonholed me into the urban genre, but my talent is versatile on a musical level.. It would be unfair to pigeonhole myself into a single genre if I have this blessing. They labeled me as urban, but they better frame me as a chameleon. I love singing merengue, ballads, pop, fusions, whatever. “I grew up listening to Los Hermanos Rosario and Grupo Manía,” said the young artist.
The EP was executive produced by Juan Guzmán and Omar ‘Pina” Rodríguez of the Heroes Music record label and the A&R team of Warner Music Latina.
The race of Elysanij continues to rise in the music industry and likewise on digital platforms. For now, the singer would like to do a more intimate presentation with an air of romance and in a smaller place to create that intimacy that she so longs for.
Under this concept of a romantic evening, he would make ballad versions of some of his songs and would include classics that evoke love and its different manifestations.
