Election Commission made Amit Saroha, Gauri Sheoran youth icons

Paralympian Amit Saroha and international shooter Gauri Sheoran have been made youth icons by the State Election Commission for one year. Both the players will contribute in the awareness campaign being run by the Election Commission to increase the voting percentage. Both the players have appealed to the voters to vote as much as possible.

On behalf of the Haryana Election Commission, Amit Saroha, resident of Baiyapur village of Sonipat and Gauri Sheoran, resident of Sector-7B, Chandigarh, have been made youth icons of the state for campaigning and awareness for one year. Arjun Awardee Amit Saroha, resident of village Baiyapur, has won more than 21 medals in international competitions and 19 medals in national competitions. He holds two Asian records in discus throw and club throw. He has represented the country three times in the Paralympics.

Shooter Gauri Sheoran is a World University Champion, winning gold, silver and bronze medals at World Championships, World Cups, Asian Championships and South Asian Games. He has won 26 medals by participating in 35 international championships. She has also won 108 national and other medals. He has won a gold medal at the Khelo India University Games in Bangalore. Gauri Sheoran is the brand ambassador of National Health Mission, Government of India since the year 2018. Due to her achievements, she is on the top list in the women’s shooting team of the country. Amit Saroha and Gauri Sheoran, who have been made youth icons, have appealed to the voters to vote vigorously in the elections through Dainik Tribune.
