Residents of different sectors of the city will now have to pay more for the common wall. In the joint meeting of the presidents and members of Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) of various sectors, it has been decided to increase the rate of per brick for common wall from Rs 12 to Rs 14. This will be effective from October 1.
In this regard, a joint meeting of RWA heads and members was held on Wednesday at the Community Center of Sector-13. Pradhan Amarlal Bura presided over the meeting. In the meeting, the issue of common wall due to rising inflation was discussed in detail. Addressing the meeting, it was said that the prices of bricks, rebar, cement etc. have almost doubled in the last three years. Labor contracts have also increased. After discussion, the resolution on the issue of common wall was passed unanimously.
On this occasion, Jitendra Sheoran from Sector 16-17 and 13 Part Two, Pradhan Amarlal Bura, Praveen Jain from Sector-13, Rakesh Arya from Urban Estate, DS Panu, Balwinder Singh, Rajendra Saini, Pradhan from Sector-33, Sector-3, Various RWA heads and members including Yograj Garg, head of Sector 15, Deepak Sura from Sector 1-4, Praveen Singal from Sector 14 Part II and Ajay Jindal from Sector 14 were present.
