HomeED interrogates AAP leader Durgesh Pathak

ED interrogates AAP leader Durgesh Pathak

New Delhi, 19 September (Agency)

The ED has recorded statements of AAP MLA and party in-charge for Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) elections Durgesh Pathak in connection with a money laundering probe into the Delhi government’s withdrawn excise policy. Pathak reached the ED office on APJ Abdul Kalam Road in central Delhi at 11 am on Monday for questioning.

The party questioned the ED’s summons to Pathak and hit out at the BJP, alleging that the real target of the move was not a probe into the Delhi Excise Policy, but Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s rising graph and the upcoming municipal elections in the national capital. Sources said that the statement of Pathak, MLA from Rajendra Nagar, was recorded under criminal provisions of PMLA. Sources had earlier said that Pathak is to be questioned for his role in the case and his relationship with Vijay Nair, a former CEO of an entertainment and event management company.
