The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has busted a countrywide drug trafficking ring operating through the ‘dark web’, seizing the ‘biggest ever consignment’ of LSD and arresting 6 people. claimed. He told that these arrested people are students and youth. LSD or Lysergic Acid Diethylamide is actually a synthetic chemical based narcotic and is classified as a hallucinogen. The network is spread across Poland, the Netherlands, the US and various states in India, an official said. This network works through the darknet and uses cryptocurrencies for payments. They claimed to have seized 15,000 blots of LSD. NCB Deputy Director General (Northern Range) Gyaneshwar Singh told that this is the ‘biggest consignment’ of LSD blots seized in an operation in the country.
He told that so far the Karnataka Police had seized the maximum number of 5,000 blots of LSD in 2021. He said that most of the LSD is being misused by the youth and it can lead to serious health problems.
