2. Balance dinner

Include a mix of carbohydrates, protein and healthy fats in your dinner to help keep blood sugar levels stable throughout the night.

3. Control portion size

To prevent blood sugar levels from rising before bed, avoid eating too much during dinner. Use small plates to control portion sizes and practice eating mindfully.

4. Choose complex carbohydrates

Choose whole grains, legumes and vegetables instead of processed carbohydrates to help slow the absorption of glucose into the bloodstream.

5. Reduce your intake of sweet snacks

Avoid eating sugary snacks or sweets before sleeping, as these can cause fluctuations in blood sugar during the night.
