Leaders and workers of the Delhi unit of the Congress demonstrated near the BJP headquarters on DDU Marg here on Sunday against the anti-encroachment drive carried out by the BJP-ruled municipal corporations. The protesters raised slogans against the BJP and the central government. The protesters were stopped by the police by putting up barricades as they proceeded towards the BJP headquarters. Congress’ Delhi unit leader Parvez Alam said, “Congress workers will continue to protest against the campaign to demolish houses and shops of poor people in Delhi.”
