New Delhi, June 18 (Agency)
A Delhi court on Saturday rejected the bail plea of Delhi minister Satyendar Jain, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case. Special judge Geetanjali Goel, while denying relief to Jain, said this was not the right stage of the case to grant him bail. The bail plea is dismissed, the judge said. The court had reserved the order after hearing the arguments of Jain and the ED. ED had arrested Jain in the money laundering case. He was detained under criminal sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Jain is currently in judicial custody. After Jain was taken into custody, all the portfolios held by him were allotted to Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
