The extended meeting of the National Co-ordination Committee of the United Kisan Morcha was held at Chhotu Ram Park here on Saturday. In the meeting it was decided to oppose and punish the BJP. Farmer leader Inderjit Singh said that it was decided in the national meeting that trade unions, farm labourers, students, youth, women and social organizations should be associated with the farmers’ movement going on in different states in the direction of giving it the form of a mass movement. A comprehensive tax platform will be created. For this, conferences and public panchayats of various sections will be organized to formulate a state-based strategy. Mahapanchayat will be held in Chandigarh on 8th April and Jagraon on 21st May. A mahapanchayat will be held in Chausa of Buxar against police excesses.

Dr. Darshan Pal, Balbir Singh Rajewal, Satyawan, Inderjit Singh, Ashish Mittal, KD Singh, Chandra Shekhar, Jogendra Nain also participated in the meeting in the eight-member presidential board.

Speakers said that in the Kisan Mazdoor Mahapanchayat held at Ramlila Maidan on March 14, a resolution was passed that the BJP would be exposed by opposing it and it was decided to punish it.

Balbir Singh Rajewal, Jogendra Singh Ugrahan, Ravindra Patiala, Dr. Darshan Pal, P. Krishna Prasad, Dr. Sunilam, Baldev Singh Nihalgarh, Raldu Singh Mansa, Satyawan, Inderjit Singh, Amrik Singh, Prem Singh Gehlawat, Kanwar Jeet Singh were present in the meeting. , Suresh Kauth, Ratan Singh Mann, Jogendra Singh Nain were mainly present.
