Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was cremated in his village today. Fans thronged from 8.30 am today to pay their last respects to his body. The last rites were performed in the afternoon at the family’s land in Musa village. People gathered in his funeral procession.
In the morning, along with some relatives, Moosewala’s father took his son’s body from Mansa Civil Hospital to his residence in Musa village in Mansa. Heavy police force was deployed outside the residence of the Punjabi singer. The mourning youth and the singer’s fans gathered outside the house and raised slogans. India and Canada are mourning the death of Sidhu Musewala. Earlier the district administration had made arrangements for the last rites at the village crematorium, but later the family agreed to perform the last rites on their own land. The police had a tough time controlling the large number of fans in the morning.
more than 2 dozen bullet wounds
A panel of five doctors completed the post-mortem examination on Monday. Sources said that Moosewala was hit on the head with one bullet while a total of more than two dozen bullets were fired. The Punjab Police said that it has arrested some people in connection with the murder of Sidhu Musewala and obtained many important leads.
