The US will ban the travel of non-US citizens from South Africa and seven other African countries from Monday due to a new variant of the corona virus (B.1.1.529). US President Joe Biden tweeted that, “WHO has identified a new Covid variant, spreading from Southern Africa. As a precaution until we have more information, I am going to South Africa and seven others.” I am ordering a ban on air travel from countries.

The group has recommended it to be the most worrying variant. The WHO has named this virus Omicron.
