Covid expansion; Schools closed in Bengal. Only half the staff in the offices

Kolkata: The West Bengal government has announced stricter restrictions in the state in the wake of the Covid outbreak. Schools and cinemas will be closed. The government has halved the number of employees in private companies.

Gyms, swimming pools and barber shops were also closed. Flights from the UK were also suspended. The number of Covid cases reported in Bengal yesterday was 4,512. Bengal also has the third highest number of Covid patients in the country.

There are currently 20 Omicon cases in Bengal. The state government is also concerned about the proliferation of omicron cases.

The number of Covid and Omikron patients across the country has increased significantly in recent days. The Union Home Ministry has issued strict instructions to the states in this regard. Concerns are being raised that Covid has started a third wave in the country. But the central government denied this. According to the government, the country’s growth is due to the global increase.
