Coronavirus India Updates: More than 190 countries around the world including India are affected by Coronavirus infection. So far more than 28 crore 81 lakh people in the world have been affected by COVID-19. This virus has snatched the lives of more than 54 lakh people. The cases of COVID-19 in India (Coronavirus India Report) have started increasing again. The total number of infected has exceeded three crore 48 lakhs. In many countries of the world as well as in India, cases of infection with the new variant Omicron of Covid-19 are also increasing. Vaccination campaign against Corona is going on in India. According to the data released by the Ministry of Health on Saturday, the number of corona infected in the country has increased to 3,48,61,579. In the 24 hours ended Saturday (8 am Friday to 8 am Saturday), 22,775 new cases of corona have been reported. In this one day 8,989 patients have been cured. During this 406 corona infected have died. So far, more than three crore 48 lakh patients have been cured. So far more than 4.81 lakh people have lost their lives due to Corona. The current number of corona cases is more than one lakh. In view of the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the country, the Telangana government on Saturday imposed new corona restrictions in the state as a precautionary measure to contain the spread of the virus. According to the order, all types of mass gatherings including rallies, public meetings, religious, political and cultural programs have been completely banned throughout the state. The order has been implemented with immediate effect and will be effective till January 10.
Amid rising cases of Covid-19 in Haryana, authorities on Saturday ordered the closure of cinema halls, multiplexes and sports complexes in five districts, including Gurugram and Faridabad, from January 2 to January 12. Apart from Gurugram and Faridabad, restrictions will be applicable in Ambala, Panchkula and Sonipat. This order has come on a day when night curfew has been imposed in the state from 11 pm to 5 am.
On Saturday, 552 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Haryana, taking the total number of infected people to 7,74,340. According to the Health Department, 298 of the new cases have been reported in Gurugram only. 107 new patients were detected in Faridabad, 32 in Ambala and 26 in Panchkula. No new case of Omicron was reported in Haryana and no new case of death due to infection was reported. The number of patients currently under treatment in the state is 1,907.
On Saturday, the first date of the new year in Jharkhand, 1007 cases of Covid-19 were reported. An official spokesperson said late in the night that on the first date, a total of 1007 Covid infected were found in the state, out of which 495 patients are from the state capital Ranchi alone. Earlier on December 31, a total of 753 corona infected people were found in the state including 327 cases of Ranchi. Earlier, the number of corona infected in the state rose on 30 December when suddenly 482 people were found infected in the state, including 246 patients from Ranchi alone.
