election strategist Prashant Kishor Congress Rejecting the offer to join, he has also kept his point. Prashant Kishor said that the party needs leadership and collective will is needed to deal with the deeply rooted organizational problems. Election strategist Prashant Kishor was offered by the Congress to join the party’s Empowered Action Committee, but he turned it down. Talks were going on between Congress and Prashant Kishor for the last few days. The election strategist had also presented a blueprint to the Congress for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 and had done a lot of reforms. This presentation was also discussed within the Congress. He had also expressed his desire to join the Congress, although some leaders within the Congress also had some apprehensions about Prashant Kishor working with other parties. In such a situation, Congress had offered to work for the party’s mission 2024 by proposing to include him in the Empowered Action Group.

Prashant Kishor may be part of Congress’ Empowered Action Group, sources indicated
I declined the generous offer of #congress to join the party as part of the EAG & take responsibility for the elections.
In my humble opinion, more than me the party needs leadership and collective will to fix the deep rooted structural problems through transformational reforms.

According to reports, Prashant Kishor wanted freedom to work in Congress with full freedom. Prashant Kishor tweeted and said, I have turned down the offer to join the Congress party as part of Congress’s Empowered Action Group. In another tweet, Kishor said, “I have a humble advice that more than me, the party needs more leadership and collective will for more deeply rooted structural problems and major reforms.”
“Prashant Kishor going to sick unit”: KCR’s son on talks with Congress
Following a presentation & discussions with Sh. Prashant Kishor, Congress President has constituted an Empowered Action Group 2024 & invited him to join the party as part of the group with defined responsibility. He declined. We appreciate his efforts & suggestion given to party.

Sources say that this decision of Prashant Kishor has come at a time when Congress refused to allow him to do with full freedom to revive the party with a senior rank. Instead they were given a place on a forum of discussion. Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala tweeted, “After Prashant Kishor’s presentation and discussion, Congress President Sonia Gandhi formed Empowered Action Group 2024 and offered him to join as a member of this group. In this, his responsibility was also marked, but he denied it. We appreciate his suggestions and efforts towards the party.”
However, it is not clear whether Prashant Kishor will work with the Congress during the assembly elections in the coming states. Notably, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s son KTR has clearly stated that he has an alliance with the I-PAAC (Indian Political Action Committee) for the election and not with Prashant Kishor. However, it is believed that under what conditions Prashant Kishor will come to Congress, the matter worsened due to lack of talk about it.
