Congress may get district, block head in September – dainiktribuneonline.com

Chandigarh, July 23 (TriNew)

Congress may soon get its president at district and block level. Apart from the state executive, the party has speeded up the process of selection of district president and block president. The way state in-charge Deepak Babaria has started one-to-one dialogue with party leaders and workers, it is clear that they will not accept the old list of names of state executive, district president and block president. That is, now the decision will be taken afresh on the names of the office bearers.

After holding dialogue with the leaders of Faridabad Parliament last day, he has also completed the feedback meeting with the leaders of Gurugram Lok Sabha constituency. Next week, he is likely to invite two more parliamentarians to New Delhi in a similar manner. Although earlier his program was to hold meetings in the districts, but now he is calling the leaders in Delhi itself and taking their opinion. In a one-to-one dialogue, he is discussing with the leaders the face of the Lok Sabha as well as the organization. Every person is being asked that which leader can be adjusted on which post. Not only this, they are taking note of the opinion of all the leaders. After talks with the leaders of all the 10 Lok Sabha constituencies, where they will prepare a list of names of potential candidates, constituency-wise, they will also give a decisive shape to the organization formation. It is believed that after completing this ongoing exercise regarding the organization, he will also hold a separate meeting with the senior leaders of the state Congress.

His only effort is to end the quota system in organization formation and give place to active and strong faces in the party so that the party can get political benefit in the upcoming elections. Apart from present and former MPs-MLAs, leaders who have contested elections in 2019, former ministers, MLAs and MPs, present or former Mayor of Municipal Corporation, present or former Zilla Parishad chairman, AICC members, Congress delegates, office bearers of Seva Dal, Mahila Congress, Youth Congress and NSUI are being called in these meetings.

More than 60 party leaders from Gurgaon Lok Sabha constituency, including acting State President Jitendra Kumar Bhardwaj, former Finance Minister Capt. Ajay Singh Yadav, MLAs Aftab Ahmed, Rao Dan Singh, Chiranjeev Rao, Mohammad Ilyas, Maman Khan Engineer, former minister Sukhbir Kataria, Congress National Secretary Ashish Dua had a one-to-one dialogue with Deepak Babaria. All these leaders openly put their mind in front of the in-charge. On the other hand, Executive State President Jitendra Kumar Bhardwaj said about these meetings that the state in-charge is taking feedback from every worker. They are asking who should be given what position.

The party will benefit if the organization is formed soon: Deepak Babaria

After the meeting, Deepak Babaria told the media that the process of organization formation has been started. He said that the organization would be formed in the state by the end of August or the middle of September. Veteran Congress leaders also agree that if the organization is formed within the next two months, it will benefit the party. If there is more delay than this, the party may also have to bear the loss. This is because then the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections will be in full swing.
