Russia’s Investigative Committee said that molecular genetic studies have been completed as part of the investigation into the plane crash in the Tavar region. According to the results of the experts, all 10 dead have been identified. They are as per the passenger list.

Putin had expressed condolences
In televised comments on Prigozhin’s death, Russian President Vladimir Putin described the crash as a “tragedy” and expressed “serious condolences to the families of all the victims”. At the same time, Putin said, “I have known Prigozhin for a very long time, since the beginning of the 90s. He was a man with a complex fate and made serious mistakes in his life, but he achieved the right results.”

Relations started deteriorating since last year
Let us tell you that Prigozhin had formed the Wagner Group of mercenaries, which took part in the fighting in Crimea and North Africa and Syria in 2014. Relations between Putin and Prigozhin began to deteriorate in October last year during the war with Ukraine. Prigozhin opposed Russia’s decision to withdraw from Ukraine’s strategic Russian city of Liman after being called up to fight in Ukraine. In February, Prigozhin accused Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Putin’s most senior general Valery Gerasimov of blocking ammunition and supplies to destroy the Wagner Group. In June Prigozhin led a rebellion against the Russian army, with thousands of mercenaries marching through southern Russia towards Moscow with the aim of overthrowing the military leaders. Later this rebellion ended after the mediation of Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko.
