Chris Noth accused of sexual abuse

Actor Chris Noth, popular for his role as “Mr. Big ”in the series“ Sex and the City ”, was accused of sexual abuse by two women with which, according to the actor in a statement, he had “consensual encounters.”

Noth appeared in the first episode of the sequel to the series Hbo, entitled “And Just Like That …”, where his character dies of a heart attack after training on a Peloton stationary bike.

The sports company quickly signed Noth up to appear in an ad where he parodied the health benefits of that product. However, following recent allegations, the company removed the ad as well as related posts on social media.

According to the specialized medium The Hollywood Reporter, The two women, aged 40 and 31, allege they were sexually assaulted by Noth in 2004 and 2015, respectively.

One of them is a journalist who contacted the magazine last August and the other works for the entertainment industry and made her case known when she learned that Noth would appear again in the continuation of the series, recently released on HBO. .

The journalist assures that the events occurred when she was 22 years old and working in Los Angeles. After meeting the actor, he went to his apartment to return a book he had lent him and there Noth raped her, he said.

The second woman was 25 years old and the actor 60 (now 67 years old) when they met. They went out to dinner and then went to Noth’s apartment, where he abused her. The next day he received a voicemail from the actor: “I hope you didn’t take last night the wrong way.”

And in a subsequent exchange of messages between the two, reviewed by The Hollywood Reporter, there is one in which it says: “I think we had a lot of fun but I’m not sure how you felt.” To which the woman replied: “I really enjoyed your company and we had a good conversation (…) but I felt slightly used …”.

“The accusations against me made by people I knew years, even decades ago, are categorically false (…) It does not always mean no, that is a line that I did not cross. The meetings were consensual (…) I do not know with certainty why they are appearing now, but I do know this: I did not attack these women, ”says the actor.
