District level carrom competition was organized at Dayal Singh Public School on Thursday. Under the guidance of Education Minister Kanwarpal Gurjar, the competition was started by District Carrom Association President Dr. Vijay Dahiya, former chairman Ramniwas Garg, former deputy director Parminder Singh. 208 contestants from more than 20 schools of the district participated in 10 events. Dr. Vijay Dahiya told that the team of district Yamuna Nagar was also selected from the competition. The team will represent the district in the competition to be held at Mangalam University, Gurugram from May 27. School Principal Parul Kumar told that Carrom is such a game in which you can be skilled in the art of focusing your attention and reaching it to the goal. Dr. Vijay Dahiya said that this game is helpful in increasing the concentration of children. Haryana Social Welfare Board Chairperson Rosie Anand Malik, Dr. HS Kang, Dr. Alka Arora, Dr. Amrita Pritam, Babita Sood, Mangal Singh, Joshpreet Singh and Subhash Sharma were present on the occasion.
