Britain’s Queen Elizabeth is no more

Scotland, 8 September (agency)

Britain’s longest reign (7 decades) Queen Elizabeth died on Thursday at the age of 96. “The Queen passed away peacefully this afternoon at Balmoral,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement. Now his eldest son Charles, 73, would automatically become the Maharaja. It was reported that after doctors expressed concern about the Queen’s health, her family reached her Scottish home, Balmoral Castle. She had been living separately from Buckingham Palace since late last year. However, recently, the newly elected Prime Minister of Britain, Liz had gone to meet the Queen. Queen Elizabeth II, the world’s oldest and longest-serving head of state, came to the throne on February 6, 1952, following the death of her father, King George VI. At that time she was only 25 years old.
